The Roc program

Home-to-Home is the umbrella program for the ROC (Reaching Our Children) program that is geared to connect and serve the needs of children entering Family Promise due to the crisis of their family being homeless. With the existence of the Day Center and network of churches we can ensure the daily needs (housing, food, transportation) of children are being met and that they reside in a safe environment that offers a source of support, hope, and encouragement. Additional direct care services provided to children through the ROC Program include; diapers, wipes, medical needs (doctor’s visits and prescriptions), car seats, school clothes and supplies for back to school, holiday and summer programs, reading and activity books, birthday and holiday gifts, participation in the Family Connection Event (FCE), along with sporting and school events. The overall goal of the ROC program is to end generational homelessness by connecting with the children in Family Promise of Montgomery County and providing support and guidance in the areas of education, counseling, community involvement, and activity engagement. The ROC program has the capacity to serve an average 48 children annually.
